The HDMI cable is small beans, it may not be a big deal but for $600 I would expect something like that to be included, especially when they hyped their HDMI port so much.</p><p>Blu-ray is an unsupported format, remember that DVD was supported heavily when the Ps2 launched. Yeah, $100 more, but there are advantages beyond just Blu-Ray. Same price for games, controller, etc. No HDMI either way.</p><p>Oh, HDMI is a great thing? Then you have the option, with the upscale PS3 version. You don't have it at all on 360. Which is worse, no cord included because of cost, or no option at all?</p><p>In such a long product life cycle, a lot can happen even if PS3 opens slowly.
