Well I'm happy to report that this patch does indeed fix the problem with 480i games on the PS3. With the lack of new good games, I was beginning to lose my mind that I couldn't play some of my old faves. Guess I'm glad I have a 360 and a Wii too

Yeah that is odd that they'd put that in there, but they need it for people who aren't broadband connected to be able to get the latest firmware to play games.

By the way, that upgrade via PC, game disc, USB mass storage device, or flash media is homebrew heaven. I'm officially convinced Sony is counting on Homebrew to roll some more hardware.

I think you're talkin' PS2 jaggies exclusively, PS1 jaggies were part of the "experience" :-D
