last years was actually really fun to play. I bought MLB 08 THE SHOW for the ps3 and was amazed by the level of detail and graphics, however i found myself playing MLB power pros more often because it was simply more fun to play. If a game like MLB 08 THE SHOW incorporated the hitting reticle, it would probably be the greatest baseball game to ever grace us. Right now, it's only great if you want to waste away an hour playing one game.

Why aren't fun games like this released on Xbox 360, either as DLC, or retail? I honestly do not find the "Realistic" baseball sims to be fun at all. They take over an hour to play, and are so slow-paced as to be boring. I understand that's the nature of baseball in general, but I don't want my video game version of baseball to be boring and slow. I miss the old Baseball Stars and Ken Griffey Jr. games. These would be a perfect fit on XBLA. What a missed opportunity.

My favorite baseball video game remains the original Baseball Stars. The game had an excellent balance of arcade and customization abilities.
